MY CORPORATE WORK All
my trainings can be adapted for corporate situations. The language and
assumptions are developed so as to be appropriate to the
situation. There are two workshops that
are particularly relevant in a corporate setting and both of them can
be combined with an introduction to emotional intelligence/literacy. These two workshops are:
• The Endorphin Effect
• Holistic Leadership
Both workshops include reflective awareness and practically applied emotional intelligence. I will not go into
an organisational setting without first being clearly briefed about your needs
and expectations.
TRAINING TRAINERS Most recently I have been working with a civil service department in Ulster, training their trainers to deliver the Endorphin Effect to their staff
Within the NHS and at universities, I often give the following presentation or workshop:
Practical Applied Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI)Ever since my book Meditation in a Changing World was
published in 1985, people have asked me to get involved with
organisational transformation and human resources trainings. It is only
in the last few years, however, that I have felt able to be authentic
working in corporate environments. Our culture has changed
substantially over the last
decade. Mind-body medicine and a more general holistic approach have
made the work I do and my expertise relevant and acceptable. I am
very happy about this . In the main I have been working within the NHS and local government.
If you would like to see me in action, we have a 3-minute video on CD which we would be very happy to send you. Email us. KEYNOTE PRESENTATIONS
I have been giving keynote presentations and public lectures for many
years. My largest crowd was 1000 people for three nights, three hours
each talk, in the National Theatre of Slovenia in Llubjana. My most
recent public talks were Spiritual Revolution: The Holistic Manifesto at St. James's Church, Piccadilly, on the Alternatives Programme, Practical Applied Psychoneuroimmunology PNI - The Endorphin Effect at the annual conference of the British Holistic Medical Association and the opening keynote presentation on Holistic Leadership at the The Integral NLP Conference in June.
| Other recent corporate work has been with Cambridge City Council and
the Holywell Trust in Ulster. With both these groups I was involved in
helping teams untie knots and clarify next steps.
'My warmest thanks for the contribution you made today at our
leadership conference. . . . I liked the way you facilitated the
session, getting participants to reflect on what they gained from each
conversation. I know that my colleagues here found the experience of
listening to you engaging and they very much enjoyed your session.'
- Lin Homer, Chief Executive, Birmingham City Council.
Vision without action is a daydream and action without vision is a nightmare. Japanese proverb
One of the symptoms of approaching a nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important. Bertrand Russell
As I work with healthcare, corporate and faith groups I have to be careful that my language and frameworks are appropriate.
Over the last few years, however, it has become increasingly acceptable
to use spiritual concepts in mainstream situations. The idea, for
example, that we are all part of a beautiful and connected universe -
and that we need to deepen our experience of this - is good and
relevant to everyone.
The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes. Marcel Proust.
